Monroe Crossing

Entertainment, Bluegrass style!

Happy New Year!

Monroe Crossing’s new year begins with a little time off as we are using January for some personal time. Our first show of the year will be in Aurora, MN as we return to the Laskiainen Finnish Festival on February 4. At the end of February, we head out on tour to AZ and NM. Please see our schedule below for more info.

We have a fun event planned for our February tour. Before our evening show at Voyager RV in Tucson, AZ we are hosting a one-day instructional camp. We will teach you how to arrange a bluegrass song. We will give you instrumental ideas as well as vocal instruction. So, if you play mandolin, guitar, fiddle, banjo or bass and are in the Tucson area here is a chance to get some hands-on instruction from a touring bluegrass band.

The camp runs from 10am-3pm on Feb. 28 and currently costs $40 per person. The price goes up closer to the date so go to our website and sign up today! By the way, if you join us for the camp and also buy a ticket for the evening show, you will be invited on stage to join us to perform the song we arranged!

We may have taken January off this year, but in January 2025 we will be back on-board Danny Stewart’s Bluegrass Cruise! We will be cruising out of Canaveral, FL Jan. 16-20, 2025. Danny will start selling cabins February 1st. Give him a call at 570-721-2760 to start planning for next year's bluegrass winter getaway.

Monroe Crossing is looking forward to another full year of making music. Thank you all for your continued support. We look forward to seeing you somewhere down that bluegrass road in 2024.

Blessings,

Derek Johnson & Monroe Crossing

We also invite you to join the Monroe Crossing Guard on Facebook. It‘s a great way to keep up with news regarding the band. It also puts you in touch with other Monroe Crossing fans.
