2016 was an amazing year of travel for Monroe Crossing! Last January began with a Bluegrass Cruise followed by a tour of the Southeast United States. In March we toured the Southwest. In April we toured South Korea collaborating with our friend Peter Park and the Dolce Canto choir. In May we spent three weeks touring Europe. During the summer months we performed at community concerts, fairs and festivals in our home state of Minnesota.
Monroe Crossing now begins 2017 with a brand new album! Our fifteenth CD has been completed! The collection is entitled Monroe Crossing Plays Classic Country and it's a bluegrass treatment of songs from the golden era of country music. We perform our renditions of songs from such artists as George Jones, Hank Williams, Ray Price, Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash. We had a lot of fun creating this project and we are excited for you to hear the results.
Monroe Crossing dazzles audiences with an electrifying blend of classic bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, and heartfelt originals. Their airtight harmonies, razor sharp arrangements, and on-stage rapport make them audience favorites across the United States and Canada.
