We've had a great start to the new year! Every January we get in the van for the "Anywhere but Minnesota Tour." It's always a fun experience and this year was no exception! It was great fun seeing our old friends and making so many new ones. This year we did two Bluegrass Cruises! If you want to "go cruising" with us next year (2018) please contact Danny Stewart and he will sign you up!
Monroe Crossing now begins 2017 with a brand new album! Our fifteenth CD has been completed! The collection is entitled Monroe Crossing Plays Classic Country and it's a bluegrass treatment of songs from the golden era of country music. We perform our renditions of songs from such artists as George Jones, Hank Williams, Ray Price, Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash. We had a lot of fun creating this project and we are excited for you to hear the results.
"Monroe Crossing has a long history of performing songs from styles of music other than bluegrass, and their latest project is sure to please both fans of bluegrass and classic country music. The band has created some clever and compelling arrangements of these wonderful songs from a great era in music, and the project features the outstanding pickin' and singin' we've come to expect from Monroe Crossing." -- Marty Scarbrough, KASU Program Director
Monroe Crossing dazzles audiences with an electrifying blend of classic bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, and heartfelt originals. Their airtight harmonies, razor sharp arrangements, and on-stage rapport make them audience favorites across the United States and Canada.
